PREPARING FOR YOUR MEDIUMSHIP READING OR HEALING SESSION
If you have never had a mediumship reading or spiritual healing session before, you might be feeling
a little anxious or wonder what to do or how to get ready for the session. Below is a list of suggestions
you can use to help you prepare:
• It is important that you do not give the medium any information about yourself, your situation, or your loved ones in Spirit ahead of our session or reading.
• If there are specific loved ones you want to hear from, please invite them before our reading.
• Think of them, and of any loving memories, and let them know you will be opening a doorway for them during our reading. Tell them how much you would love to communicate with them, and reflect on any questions you may have for them.
• Please do not to force any messages to fit for you or your circumstances by providing me with specific details, whether in advance or during our session. Please “don’t feed the medium.” There will be time during your session where you can share.
• Your session is not intended to, nor should it ever, take the place of any medical, legal, financial, traditional psychological, investigative, or other professional advice, and you should always seek the appropriate professional advice for your situation.
WHAT TO DO THE DAY OF YOUR HEALING SESSION OR READING
• Whether your reading is on Zoom or in person, arrive 5 minutes early so you are ready and not feeling rushed and stressed.
• Minimize distractions. If you have scheduled a Zoom reading, attend the session in a quiet, private room. Please do not plan to do a Zoom reading from your work or in your car.
• Place your phone in airplane mode or in “do not disturb” mode regardless of where your session is taking place.
• Be open-minded and curious about what will occur in the session or reading.
• You may record your mediumship reading via a recording device (some smart phones have an app) and/or journal. Emily will also record the reading on Zoom or if in-person and will share the recording with you.
• Before we connect try taking several deep, full breaths. This will help you relax and stay open to the experience. It’s normal to feel a bit nervous before your session. To help ease your mind, think of your session as a time and place for you to receive a tremendous amount of love, connection and support. Take a moment to become aware of all the loved ones you have in Spirit. Give gratitude for this experience and open your heart and mind to welcome whatever will happen for your highest good. Our time together is for you and your healing as well as your loved ones in Spirit. Being open-minded and curious about what will occur in your session or reading helps to lift the energy and connect to the love that fuels these mediumship communications and healing sessions.
